Hi fellow nomads,
Now that a whole 3 days into July, I think it's high time I took a look back over June and put together my favourite products. Here we go...
Revlon Nail Enamel in Siren
We've been having a bit of warm weather lately, and while I haven’t responded to this in my clothing choices particularly, it has however affected my nail polish choices. I love this colour and despite having lots of nail polishes in my collection I keep going back and picking this time after time. It’s cheerful and colourful without being too in your face. Application is easy and it lasts a good 4-5 days with a top coat.
No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser
I got this as part of the No7 voucher promotion that Boots runs regularly. It was a bit of a bargain and I’ve been using this almost every day. It comes with its own muslin cloth and removes all makeup quickly and easily, and leaves your face feeling really clean. I like that the cloth is reusable, as I don’t like how much cotton wool I get through when using other kinds of makeup remover. This has produced great results and I'm pleased that I've found such a good value solution for make up removal.
Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon
I got this in a bonus time last month and immediately fell in love with the colour. In the picture it looks more like a red - perhaps in contrast to Siren! - but in reality it's an orange toned red. As with all Clinique products, it’s a very wearable take on the current trend and I've been wearing this all over the place – to work, out to dinner, just around the house…
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in 01 Black
This was one of the products I bought to trigger the bonus time above. I've wanted to try this mascara for a while and it’s just as good as I hoped it would be. The brush is teeny tiny and you can reach every single lash with it. It stays well throughout the day with no smudging or flaking, and is just generally fabulous.
Accessorize Ring
I bought this whilst bored waiting for my friend in a train station. So, it’s entirely her fault that I have this ring. It was pretty good value – I think it was only around £6. I like that it’s fairly large yet doesn't stick out too far, and I love the turquoise coloured inlay. I also think it goes very nicely with my nails when they’re painted with Siren!
Riga
Not pictured above is the city of Riga - surprisingly, I couldn't get it to fit on the top of my dresser. We took a short trip over to Latvia in June and had a wonderful time wandering the streets, admiring the architecture and parks, eating ice cream, and enjoying the sun. As city breaks go, it was pretty awesome. Watch out for a post about our trip coming soon...
That’s what I've loved through the month of June. What about you?
-Rachel
