Me, on a cold Tuesday evening in August, pottering aimlessly on the internet: "Oh look, another box from Latest in Beauty. And they've kindly sent me a voucher code, too. Well, after they've gone to so much trouble, it would be actually quite rude not to buy it, wouldn't it?" *fishes out credit card*.
3 days later, after retrieving the parcel from my neighbours, I unwrap the following little beauties....
Bellapierre Volumising Mascara in Black // I've got a few mascaras on the go at the moment so I’ll be leaving this until my current favourite runs out. I’m always on the lookout for the next great mascara so I'm keen to try this.
Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena & Lavender Hand Therapy // Crabtree & Evelyn do a good hand cream. This is handily handbag sized so that’s exactly where mine has gone – great news for me as my handbag handcream has just run out and we are hurtling towards winter at breakneck speed. I've tried this out once so far and it did a good job and smelled lovely.
Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask // A decent clay/mud mask, this went on easily and smelled very pleasant. After the 10 minute treatment time my skin felt super clean and refreshed. There are plenty of uses left in the tube, all of which I'm looking forward to.
Creamy Coconut Cleanser // This is a delightful, gentle cleanser that left my skin feeling nice and soft. I don’t think it would work particularly as a makeup remover, but I use this as my second cleanse and it’s great. I'm really enjoying this.
John Masters Organics Lavender Rosemary Shampoo // This is a very deluxe smelling shampoo which does a fantastic job. It left my hair super soft and shiny and I love it. I'm already looking into where I can buy it, as my long hair used up half the sample bottle in one wash…
John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler // Same as above. Unfortunately this wasn't quite strong enough to completely detangle my hair, but I think if I left it in for longer it would do a good job. On the plus side, it didn't weigh down my hair and smelled delightful.
Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm // This is an extremely smooth cleansing balm which smells beautiful. It removed my makeup well but it was pretty uncomfortable when it got in my eyes, so I'm not sure I'd use this again.
PitROK Deodorant Wipes // These are just a generally useful product. I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of these. The smell is pleasant and they’re not too dry (I can’t stand a dry wipe) so I think I’ll get on very well with these.
Rituals Miracle Scrub Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba Ultra Softening Hand Scrub // I have always loved Rituals and this product just reaffirms my affections. It is a scrub, of course, but it also contains super moisturising oils that stay on your hands after you've washed the scrub off to leave them soft for ages afterwards. This is fabulous if you’re forgetful about applying hand cream after you wash your hands like me.
Due to a special promotion, I also got these two products free:
L’Oreal Miss Manga mascara // I love this mascara and will be putting this into my backup stash. It’s a fantastic mascara and if you haven’t tried it already I’d urge you to give it a go.
Caudalie Miel de Vigne Hand and Nail Cream // Caudalie is a brand that has been fairly hit and miss for me – but when it’s good, it’s amazing. Hand cream is a pretty safe bet and this one smells lovely and is nice and moisturising. I’ll be using this a lot coming into the winter months, and you can never have too many tubes of hand cream.
This box was £19.95 and I used an offer for free P&P and the free hand cream and mascara. All in, I think this box represents good value for money as I have, or will, use all the products in this box and they're all very high quality. This box was made in conjunction with the team at Beauty Bible and I think they've done an excellent job.
Are you tempted by this box, or have you tried any of the contents before?
-Rachel
